Our story
An engineer’s company
Our founder trained as a mechanical engineer at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and spent his early career in production management, rising to factory director at a state-owned refrigerator maker that was among China’s largest in the early 1990s. Running a large appliance plant taught him how plastic, metal and electrical parts come together in a product people use every day, and what it takes to build one well, at volume.
In 2000 he founded Hangzhou Dongrun Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., making hand trucks, casters and plastic pallets for export and taking on mold making, injection molding and extrusion for other companies. In 2009 he set up Hangzhou Daoshu, which carries that work forward. Along the way we have supplied seating parts that flew on Boeing and Bombardier aircraft for more than six years, and about 500,000 sets of base plates for robot-moved carts in Amazon’s logistics operations.
Today, Hangzhou Daoshu Industrial Co., Ltd. focuses on the work customers find hardest: products that combine several materials and processes, delivered finished and checked.
